Every car deal, ranked by what it really costs per month.

Advertised payments hide the down payment. deal-o-meter.com folds everything due at signing into one effective monthly figure — for leases, finance offers, and cash deals — across EVs, hybrids, and gas cars, so offers can be compared on equal footing.

The board — October 2026 offers

Bars show effective monthly against the $400–$500/mo range most shoppers target. Deals whose headline price depends on a rebate or ownership requirement are flagged gated and ranked by their all-buyer figure, with the gated headline shown for reference.

Watchlist

Watching a car pins it here with your target effective monthly. When a board deal for it lands at or below your target, it's flagged Target hit — check the board, hit your number, done.

How to read this board

Effective monthly

The advertised payment is only part of a lease. Everything due at signing — down payment, first payment, fees — is real money too, so the board spreads it across the term:

effective = payment + (due at signing ÷ term)

A “$299/mo” lease with $3,999 due over 36 months is really a $410/mo lease. That one number is what gets ranked, filtered, and watched.

Gated vs. all-buyer

Some headlines quietly assume a rebate you may not qualify for. Example on this month's board: a Bay Area Kia dealer's Niro EV at $109/mo bakes in California's $3,500 first-time-EV rebate — the only confirmed all-buyer figure there is a 24-month term at $411/mo effective.

Gated offers stay on the board, clearly flagged, with the all-buyer number next to them — never blended together.

Lease vs. finance vs. cash

Leases rank by effective monthly. Finance offers rank by APR and total interest paid — a low payment stretched over 84 months can cost more than the car saves you. Cash deals rank by money off the price, with tax figured on the discounted amount where the state charges it that way.

The calculator above runs all three with the same inputs a dealer would quote you.
